I got a new (old) camera in the mail yesterday. A Pentax K7. So you know I had to test it out. Here are the results! I like the files. Kinda grainy, wich is expected in a camera from 2008, but it is a pleasure to use! And supposedly weather sealed. This is the reason I got it. We’ll see if that holds true!
Wedding Day!
On April 18 2020, a grade-school friend of mine married the love of his life! Congratulations to both of you, and may you both live happily together forever! Check out the photo story of the event HERE!
World Record!
2 weeks ago, I witnessed a world record being broken. The town of Schererville had one of their party in the park events, at which they held the world’s largest balloon sword fight. That’s pretty cool!
Father Declan's First Mass as a Priest!
Congratulations to the Newly ordained Father Declan McNicholas, who had his first mass as a priest this weekend at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton Indiana. I know he will be an awesome priest!
Another Trip to Thorn Creek
I made another venture over to thorn creek. Got a few cool shots there! Ian and I walked through the trails for a couple of hours, and it was a fun hike.
Playing With A (New) Old Camera
I finally got the 40 dollar Ebay special in the mail the other day. It is a Nikon D100, a 6.1 megapixel camera from 2002. I took it to Thorn Creek Nature Center in Park Forest, IL. today to play with it for a half an hour or so. These are the results.
Trip to Kankakee Sands
Last weekend I went out to Kankakee Sands Bison Viewing area in Indiana to see and photograph the bison. My good friend Ian came with me. We left from my house, got there, parked, and I immediately fell on my but. There was a layer of ice over the parking lot and it was like 2 inches thick! We walked a short distance from the car to where the bison were. It was about an hour long wait and the bison didn't move. We then turned and started walking back to the car. Of course at this point they decided to finally come near the fence, so we went back over by them and we got a couple good shots before it got dark. It was a great time!
